Robert Dale Neil 80 of Casper, passed away on Monday February 22, 2021 at his home with his loving family around him. Bob was born in Western, Missouri on July 29, 1940 to Othie and Grace Neil. He spent his childhood years in the Riverton area. Bob served his country for 20 years in the United States Navy and achieved the rank of Master Chief Machinist Mate. During this time Bob completed Navy Nuclear Power Training and was proficient in the operation of the worlds largest reactor complex and was qualified propulsion plant watch officer on the U.S.S. Enterprise CVAN-65. In 1969 Bob married the love of his life Cynthia Lake.
After retirement from the Navy Bob went on to Texas and was shift supervisor in the operations of South Texas Nuclear Project for 13 years. Retiring at the early age of 55 Bob moved back home to Casper, WY in 1991 where he loved spending time with family and friends and enjoying the outdoors specially fishing and camping.
Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years Cynthia (Lake) Neil, Daughter Patience (Scott) Wallace, Son Robert Neil Jr. , Three sisters Marilynn VanVleet, Ruth Ruber, and Linda Bunner, Brother Wayne Neil. Grandson Roman Espinosa , Granddaughter Gillian Wallace.
Bob is preceded in death by both parents Othie and Grace Neil, Brothers William Neil, Owen "Bud" Neil, daughters Valerie Neil, Margaret "Peggy" Neil
