Robert Glen Meeks

Robert "Glen" Meeks, 69 died February 13, 2007 at Central Wyoming Hospice Home after a long battle with cancer.
He was born Feb. 23, 1937 in Richfield, Idaho to David and Mabel Meeks. He graduated High School in 1954 and joined the Air Force, where he was a radar operator. He received an associate degree in Electrical Instrumentation from Idaho State University. On May 30, 1963, he married Marlene Schmidt in Elko, Nevada. They first lived in Pocatello, Idaho and moved to Glenrock, Wyoming where they have lived for 26 years. He worked in construction and was also an overhead crane operator. He loved working in his yard, collecting cars, wood working, rock hunting, early morning card games with the boys at the Aces, and spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife Marlene of Glenrock, his son Chuck and his wife Christi of Bellevue, Nebraska, daughter Tawni and her husband Spero of Denver, CO, Hollie and her husband Grant, Jennie and her husband Mark all of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Granddaughters Chanae' and Kayla, grandsons Christian and Brian, brother Dean and Gene, and sisters Julie, Earlene and Patty. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Mabel and stepfather Martin Whalen, his brothers Mike, Kenny, Dave, and George and sisters Jackie, Marilyn and Betty.
He was cremated and a gathering will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Central Wyoming Hospice Home in Casper.
