Robert Mccrary

September 25, 1941 — November 22, 2011

On November 22, 2011 our beloved Robert "Bob" McCrary received his healing and
went home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ. Bob, 70, died in Loveland, CO. Born in Casper,Wyoming in 1941 to E.L and Margaret McCrary. Bob married the love of his life and best friend Judith in 1983. They just celebrated their 28th anniversary this year.

Bob depended daily on Jesus and prayed about everything. He joyfully shared his deep faith in Christ with all he met along the way. He was deeply respected and admired as a man of principle and honor by his family and all who knew him. How deeply we will miss him. Bob was a Colorado Rockies fan, enjoyed fly fishing and goose hunting with his brother and nephews.

Bob was active in St. Patrick church in Casper and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Fort
Collins and was an active member of The Knights of Columbus.

Bob graduated from NCHS in 1959, and was a Cadet Colonel in the JROTC. He earned an ROTC commission and a B.A. with Distinction in Political Science from the University of Colorado in 1963 as a PHI Beta Kappa. Bob graduated in 1966 from the University of Wyoming College of Law where he served on the Law Review Staff.

Dedicated to his country, Bob earned two bronze stars for his service in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the JAG Corps, including service in the Vietnam War as a Staff J.A. USA-SURCOM-CRB and as an Asst. J.A XXIV Corps., Phu Bai, RVN.

Dedicated to his community, Bob served on a number of boards and offices, including a Natrona County Justice of the Peace, the Casper Community College Board of Trustees, including as Resident Chairman, a College Foundation Board, a BOCES board, the UW/CC Advisory Board, Salvation Army Board, and a County School District School board Attorney.

Bob is survived by; his soul mate, Judy Jordan McCrary; daughter Tonya McCrary Brilon (Victor) of CA: step daughter Holly Howard of MT: step daughter Kelly Ellis (Tommy) of WY: step son Jason Howard (Keri) of CO: Brother Roland (Nancy ) of WY: sister Margaret Roberts of WY: brother Jerel of CA: brother Craig (Sue) of CO; grandson Isaac Boelman, Nickolas Ellis, Samantha Ellis, Dillon Boelman, Charlie Howard, Joshua Brilon, great-granddaughter, Kamea Boelman, and close treasured nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

His is preceded in death by his parents, E.L. McCrary, mother, Margaret McCrary, and brother, Evert.

FUNERAL SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 2, 2011 at St. Patricks Church, 400 Country Club Rd., Casper, WY. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 4 PM-6 PM with a Rosary at 6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 710 E. 2nd St., Casper, WY. Burial in Highland Cemetery will follow the Mass.
