Robert S. Markworth

Robert (Bob) Steven Markworth passed away December 6th, 2020 at his home in Riverton WY.

Bob was born April 4th, 1952 in Fort Riley, KS to Robert and Charlotte Markworth. He was the oldest of 5 children. He graduated from Harrison High School in Colorado Springs in 1971.

Bob was enlisted in the United States Navy from May 17th, 1972 until March 21st, 1975. He was stationed in San Diego CA. He spent 1 year and 18 days foreign or at sea as part of the USS Denver (LPD-9) and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

On April 16th, 1978 in a country church in Howard County, NE near St. Paul, he married Kathy Sue Woods and together they had 2 children. Bob was a proud father to his sons Robert Kenneth Markworth and Nathan Daniel Markworth.

After the Navy, he worked for Halliburton Energy Services, Black Hills Trucking, and then eventually went on to retire from UPS after more than 35 years of service.

He is survived by his son Nathan Markworth and Nathan's wife Farren Markworth of Casper, Wy. His parents Bob and Charlotte Markworth of Ft. Collin CO. His siblings Mary Benson of Ft. Collins CO. Joe Markworth and wife Elvira of Ft. Collins CO. Jim Markworth of Ft. Collins CO. Chuck Markworth and Chuck's wife Jeri of Casper WY. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son Robert K. Markworth.

A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Casper WY.
