Our loving husband, father, and grandfather, Robert "Bob" Lee Howell, age 85, passed away December 14, 2018.
Bob was born on March 3, 1933, in Wade, Oklahoma to Jasper P. and Connie Marie Boleyn Howell.
Bob was a dedicated and hardworking man. At the age of 17 he started work as a roughneck on the rigs, then a driller, and then was promoted to Drilling Superintendent for Brinkerhoff Drilling.
After leaving Brinkerhoff, he did private consulting at the rigs. He then went to work as a hot shot driver for Jelinek and Brake Supply. He finally decided to retire at the age of 82.
He was a kind and loving person to all who knew him. He had compassion for all animals and loved his cats and dogs.
His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren, always pulling pranks and teasing them. He had a witty sense of humor and fun loving personality.
Bob really liked football and making bets with family and close friends which he won most of the time. He liked to read books and watch western movies. His hobbies were collecting model cars and rare coins.
Bob is dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Alma Tibbits Howell of Casper, his daughters Linda (Alex) Cozart of Bakersfield, CA, Barbara (Gary) Lindsay of Scenic, AZ, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Jasper and Marie Howell, son Robert Eugene Howell, daughter Cheryl Kay Bull, great great grandson Jestin Jae Lindsay, brothers Red, Jasper P., and Earl, and sisters MaryLou, Margaret, Billie.
A Visitation will be held 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:30 PM, on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Newcomer Casper Chapel. Interment will be held at Wyoming Memorial Gardens Cemetery after the service. A reception will be held at Olive Garden following Interment.
