Robert H. "Bob" Walters, 87, of Glenrock, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Survived by his loving wife, Sibyl Walters; children, Mitchell Walters of Ringwood, OK, Terri Walters of Ringwood, OK and Joanna Bates of Houston, TX; step-son, Douglas Swanson of Colorado Springs, CO; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Bertha Walters; Brothers, Charles and Frank; and sisters, Fern and Dorothy. Bob proudly served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He worked in the oil & gas industry for approximately 30 years, he then went to work for the United States Treasury Department until his retirement in 1991. Bob loved the local western history and was a talented artist both with pictures and woodworking. He was very involved with the establishing of the Deer Creek Museum in Glenrock. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, May 16, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Central Wyoming Hospice in Bob's name.
