Robert Earl "Bob" Glaze, 87, of Casper, passed away Dec. 4, 2009 at the Life Care Center.
He was born July 14, 1922 in Colorado Springs, CO the son of Otha Earl and Mable Mae Allen Glaze. He graduated from Colorado College with a degree in Geology and then attended Stanford University. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Olga Agans in Aug. 29, 1951 in Midland, TX. He was employed by Pure Oil Company in Witchita Falls, TX, then moving to Midland, TX to work for Union Oil Company and then coming to Casper in 1958. He and his family moved to Cutbank, MT and returned to Casper in 1968 until his retirement. He was a member of the Wyoming Geological Association and the Wyoming Historical Society. He loved to work with stained glass and provided many field trips for 5th graders to do geological studies. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Olga of Casper, two daughters, Susan Jean Anderson of Dennison, TX, Cindy Moore of Rock Springs and a son, Scott R. Glaze of Wyoming. There are three grandchildren, Daniel Rogers, Kelly Moore and Logan Moore. He is also survived by two sisters, Betty Marie Huscka of Elroy, WI and Jeanne Miller of Canon City, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents , one brother , William A. Glaze, and a sister, Opal Glaze.
Memorial services with military honors will be Sat. Dec. 12, 2009, 3:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home with The Rev. Lynn Williamson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
