Memorial services for Robert Edward Potter, 80, of Casper, Wyoming, were held June 26, 2015 at Wyoming Memorial Gardens with Pastor Dan Carlin officiating. Military Honors were provided by Wyoming Veteran's Council.
Born October 17, 1934 in El Dorado, Kansas to James Walter and Mildred Ellen (Nall) Potter. Robert spent his childhood growing up in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming.
He enrolled in the Marine Corps in 1952 at the age of 17. Robert Served his country during the Korean Conflict.
On August 10, 1958 he married Martha Jean Walsh in Riverton, Wyoming. Robert belonged to UA Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Local 193 of Casper, Wyoming. He retired in 1988 after 40 years of service.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, mathematics, playing cards, and Denver Broncos football.
Bobby spent the last 20 years of his life helping raise his granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha; his parents; sister, Violet Luise; and brother, James Walter Jr.
Bobby is survived by his children, Patricia Ellen of Miami, Florida; Ronald Joseph (Machelle) of Gillette, Wyoming; Vina Louise of Mills, Wyoming; Marcy Eulalia of Miami, Florida; granddaughter, Martha Jean of Casper, Wyoming; and his dog, "Puck" puh da.
