On Oct. 27, 1956 he married Genevieve "Kay" Hansen in Kenmare, N.D.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

His proudest and last hunting trip was shooting a 7 X 7 elk after he was diagnosed with cancer.

He loved showing off the elk photos and bragging about the hunt.

He loved his family and will be dearly missed.
