Robert James (Bob) Catellier went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 17, 2009. He was born December 28, 1946 to Hazel and Norbert Catellier. He grew up throughout Wyoming and graduated from St. Mary's High School in Cheyenne in 1966. He went on to graduate with an associate's degree in accounting from Casper College. In 1965, Bob met his future wife and love of his life, Kathy Haskey, and they married in June of 1969. Together they had four children: Shannon, Stephanie, Sherri, and Christian.
Bob had a zest for life and for people. He showed his love for others by using his evangelistic gift of sharing his love for the Lord, bringing many people to the Lord, mentoring others, and so much more. His love of God showed in everything he did. He was active in his church and instrumental in forming the Shalom Prayer Group in 1974. He was on the leadership committee for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and served there for many years. He continuously worked to build unity in the Body of Christ through many avenues.
Bob worked for Allan's Import Car Care with his brother Allan until Allan's death in 1983. Following Allan's death he owned and ran Allan's Import Car Care for many years until his health wouldn't allow him to continue. Then he worked for Master's Construction before he retired. He enjoyed cycling, playing golf, travelling with his wife, and spending time with his family. Although he fought a lifelong illness, his wife, children, and grandchildren gave him a reason to continue living life to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Catellier, his father, Norbert Catellier, and his brothers Donald and Allan. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 40 years, Kathy, his daughters Shannon (Dan) Stone, Stephanie (Brian) Venn and their children Katie, Abby and Eric, Sherri (Jeff) Litzinger and their daughters Hailey and Emily, his son Christian (Sarah) Catellier and their daughter Annastasia and Christian's daughter Tara. He is also survived by his sisters Elizabeth and Christine, his brothers Ronald, Ian, and Scott, their spouses and numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21st. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church gymnasium. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20th at 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Family Funeral Home.
