Rita Grace (Taylor) Coggins

Riverton-Rita Grace Coggins, 84, a long time resident of Poplar Living Center in Casper, Wyoming, passed away December 20, 2013. She was born in O'Niell, Nebraska on March 10, 1929, to Lee and Helen Taylor.
Rita, the seventh of eight girls, grew up in O'Neill, Nebraska until 1936 when her family relocated to a homestead near Kinnear, Wyoming. She lived in Kinnear for about 8 years and then moved with her family to Dubois, Wyoming.
She met Eldo "Rip" Coggins while waitressing at the Harris Café in Dubois. After several months of dances, picnics, and boat rides they married on November 28, 1947 in Kinnear, Wyoming.
Her husband later built her their dream home on Alaska Road in Paradise Valley of Riverton, Wyoming. Together they started a business raising tomatoes in greenhouses. She loved working in her greenhouses and visiting with her customers. She is fondly remembered by many for her delicious tomatoes and good business.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters; Mabel Ann, Mildred, Lela, Esther, Donna, and Phyllis, her husband Rip Coggins, and her daughter Lila Bisbee.
She is survived by her granddaughter Rita (Joe) Pekuri and children Mickelle and Kaleigh, granddaughter Linda (David) Macalister, great-grandchild Antionette Bisbee and child Xander, son Lloyd (Sheri) Coggins, and sister Dorothy (Anton) Zlatnik. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A private service will be held at a later date.
