Life History:
Grew up in LaMoure, North Dakota. He joined the US Navy and served on the USS Presque Isle and the USS Iowa in WWII. He was honorably discharged in 1946 at the rank of Seaman First Class.
He returned to North Dakota then moved to Worland to work at the sulfur plant. While in Worland he met and married Patricia Ruby on Aug 12, 1950 in Billings Montana. He started to work in the oil fields and the family moved to North Dakota and later to Cody, Wyoming. He then moved to the Gas Hills of Wyoming working for the uranium plant and later transferred to Riverton. In 1963 they moved to Casper and he worked for Little America Oil Refinery and later retired from there in the mid 1990's.
He loved being with his family and spending time with all his grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his wit, sense of humor, and his love for his family. He enjoyed fishing, gambling, playing cards, hunting arrowheads, working in his yard and gardening. One of his greatest thrills was to march in President Johnson's Inaugural Parade as the mountain men from Wyoming.
