Richard Riddle

At his request there will be no services for Richard Riddle, who died Saturday morning at his home in Casper from complications of diabetes. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be interred at Bull Creek Cemetery on the South Fork above Cody at a later date with his family attending.

Richard was born on the Chippewa Indian Reservation at Yorkton, Sask. The son of Albert Rollins Riddle and Rosine Peltier on Feb. 3, 1935 and he was an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Reservation in North Dakota.

He married his wife Sarah Anne (Sally) Pfrangle on Sept. 28, 1953. One year later he went to work for US West where he worked for 36 years until his retirement in 1990. After his retirement he did contract work for 11 more years. He was an avid lifelong hunter and fisherman and loved spending time at their Glendo home with his family.

He served in the Korean War and was a member of the Wyoming National Guard for 10 years.

Richard is survived by his wife Sally and his sons Rick, Jon (Karen), Mark and daughter Karen Meyer (Paul), his grandchildren Ricky (Lexi), David, Shawna, Eryc, Kevin, Dalton and Tommy Riddle and Ben (Aliscia) and Laura Meyer and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother George Riddle of Sheridan, his sister Margaret McMicheal of Twin Falls, ID., his mother-in-law Eva Pfrangle of Cody and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Albert and mother Rosine and stepfather Jimmy Trevino, brothers Alex, Harry, and Tommy, sister Mary Jane DeLeon and granddaughter Jennifer Danielle Riddle.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Hospice of Casper or to the Glendo Fire Dept., Glendo, WY. 82213.
