Richard "Rick" C. Phillips, age 63, died peacefully at his home on October 23, 2016 in Casper WY.
Richard was born August 1, 1953 in Casper, WY to Carl and Jackie (Austin) Phillips. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1972 and attended Casper College until his working career began. He married the love his life, Mary Lukowiak, on February 21st, 1976. He worked as a journeyman iron worker for 9 years, owned and operated Phillips Welding for about 7 years, and worked at WesTec for 27 years where he was a jack of all trades. WesTec gave him the opportunity to travel from Alaska to South America. During his later years, he spent his time serving on the 33 Mile Water Board and enjoyed working on his farm. He was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish. Rick was liked by all and was fortunate to have true life-long friends.
In addition to his parents, Richard was also preceded in death by his sister, Karen Chadwick. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary M. Phillips, of 40 years, daughter, Jamie (Bart) Chatelain, son, Justin Phillips; brothers, Terry (Angie) and David (Kathy) Phillips; grandchildren, Kaitlynn Smith, Ty Chatelain, Alexys Cordova, and Shawn Phillips; soon-to-be born great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2016 at the Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel. A potluck celebration of life and good friends will follow at Mills Fire Hall.
