Memorial services for Richard "Dick" George Miller, 68, will be held at Nancy English Park in Casper, WY on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at 2:00 in the afternoon. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on July 21, 2009. Richard was born December 23, 1940 in Brush, Colorado and was preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Yolanda Miller. He spent three years in the US Army, serving as a Military Police Officer for two years in Korea. Richard married Fayetta Peterson in 1962, had three children and later divorced. He graduated with a baccalaureate from the University of Northern Colorado. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence graduating Magna Cum Laude from Indiana University Purdue University in Indianapolis and settled in Casper in 1971. Richard practiced law for 32 years in Casper, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing. He was an avid car lover, cherished conversation and time spent with his family. Richard is survived by his wife of 17 years Linda Redman Miller; son Rodger (Arden) Miller of Wasilla, AK; daughter Rachelle Miller of Denver, CO and daughter Robbyn Myers of Bremerton, WA; stepdaughters Toni Redman of Laguna Hills, CA; Dawn Redman Wall of Valencia, CA and Rhonda Redman of Casper, WY; stepson Jason (Renee) Redman of Glenrock, WY; grandchildren Tawn and Ciera; Nolan and Miles; Whitney, Haylee and Stephen; Peighton; Chloe and Jacob; sister Shirley (Les) Davis of Sun City West, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made in his name to The Wyoming Veterans Association or a charity of your choice.
