Memorial services for Richard Lee Uglow will be held Friday, February 22 at 3pm at the Church of the Holy Family, 4100 SE Wyoming Blvd with Bishop Kenneth Kinner officiating. Cremation will have taken place. There will be a reception at the church following the service. In honor of Dick's cowboy demeanor, feel free to wear western attire.
Richard Lee (Dick) Uglow, 90, passed away peacefully at Poplar Living Center on January 29th, surrounded by family. Dick was born April 25, 1922 to Vera and Jack Uglow. On November 21, 1948 he married the love of his live, Joy. Together they resided in Casper over 60 years, with two daughters born to their union.
Dick worked for Standard Refinery, sold insurance, was an excellent carpenter, and retired from the United States Postal Service after 25 years of dedicated employment. He loved skiing, fly fishing, spending time on the mountain, exploring the country, building things with wood, and being with family, especially the grandchildren. During his life he was active in the Ski Patrol at Hogadon, NARFE, and the Church of the Holy Family.
Dick was preceded in death by Joy, his parents, and his brother Alan. He is survived by daughters Mary Jo Daniels (Lee) and Lynn Jordan (Jim); grandchildren, John (Shanna), Lesa, Brandon, Kandi (Scott), and Chris (Candita); 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Elsie Uglow; Lisa Kerr, his special niece; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of the Holy Family, c/o Bishop Kinner, 6492 W. Riverside Terrace, Casper, 82604.
