CASPER -- At his request, no services will be held for Richard Pascal Kirkpatrick, 82, who died Feb. 13, 2008, at Central Wyoming Hospice Home.
He was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Capps, Texas, the son of William Kirkpatrick and Era Patterson.
He graduated from the Texas A&M University with a bachelor's of science in petroleum engineering in 1949.
He married Joyce A. Gourley on Oct. 9, 1974, in Houston.
He was employed as a drilling superintendent for the True Drilling Company in Casper, retiring in 1991.
He was a Master Mason and Shriner. He was a life member of the Kermit, Texas Lodge No. 1258; a member of the Korein Shrine Temple in Rawlins and the Casper Shrine Club and a member and past-president of Booster Unit of Casper.
He was also a member of the Royal Order of Jester Court No 148, the Kachina Club and past-president and member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors and a life member of the NRA.
He was a man of extraordinary courage, strength and integrity. He will be missed greatly.
Survivors include his wife of Casper, two sons and their wives, James Kirkpatrick of Washington and William Kirkpatrick of Casper; a stepson, Stan Snyder and his wife of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; a stepdaughter, Cindy Lepley and her husband of Casper;
four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, June; a daughter, Beth Lestcher, and a sister.
