Reginald Atkins, 78, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, April 1, 2021.

Reginald was born in Birmingham, Alabama on October 6, 1942 to James and Marian Atkins. Reginald graduation from Fairfax High School in South Carolina. Reginald and Carol married in 1982 and have celebrated 47 years together. He is survived by his Wife, Carol, Daughter Andromeda, his Brothers, Lonnie Atkins and Jimmy Atkins, and Sister, Cherry Black.

He enlisted in the Navy then worked for Manned Space Flight with NASA, consisting of the Gemini and Apollo missions. He then went on to work for NRAO (National Radio Astronomy Observatory) in Green Bank, West Virginia as Interference Officer for the Quiet Zone. Later going on to work for a Government Think Tank (Mitre Corporation) in Northern Virginia as a Systems Engineer.

He was preceded in death by Mother, Marian and Father, James.

Services will be held April 8, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home at 11:00 AM and will be followed with Military Honors at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery.
