Raymond H Miller Sr, 91, of Casper, WY, passed away on February 25, 2021 in his home surrounded by loved ones.
A celebration of life will be this summer during the Miller/Russ Family Reunion at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery, with military honors,
Raymond H Miller Sr. was born in Douglas, WY to Paul Miller and Bessie Leola Russ Miller on August 12, 1929. He went to school at Douglas High. He married Helen G Hutchison on October 21, 1950. He worked for Casper Lumber Co for 30 years and retired in 1994. He was a veteran of Korean War and served in the Army as a front lineman. He was involved in making the signs for Pathfinder and Alcova lakes and various other wood signs around town for Natrona County Parks. He enjoyed crocheting, quilting, baking, his Colorado Rockies, and attending Miller/Russ Family Reunions every other year for the past 50 years.
Raymond is preceded in death by father Paul Miller, mother Bessie Leola Russ Miller, Brothers Bob & Bill and Sister Betty.
Raymond is survived by his wife Helen of 70 years: children: Connie (Larry) Bowers of Casper, WY, Hank (Roberta) Miller of Rancho Cordova, California, and Paula Rene Fransen of Newbury Park, California: siblings: Mary Jane Reed, Jody Reed, Max Miller and Karen Hulsey, Grandchildren: Dawn (Tony) Avery, Trevor (Shannon) Clark, Heather (Doug) Stewart, Kato (Jodi) Fransen, Ollivia (Brett) Stein, Rachel Miller and Ryan Miller; great-Grandchildren: Josh (Anna) Clark, Dustin Clark, Chase Bachand, Kaitlyn Bachand, Cash Stewart, Steven Fransen, Jasmine, Suriah and Sebastian; great-great Grandchildren: Rylan Clark, Benjamin Anderson, Reagan & Macie; along with many nieces and nephews.
