Casper- A celebration of the life of Randy Lee Maxwell, 53, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3rd
at Highland Park Community Church 411 S. Walsh Dr., Casper,
with Pastor John Spear officiating.
Randy died November 30th at Central Wyoming Hospice Home after a courageous battle with ALS, Lou Gehrig's
disease. He was born November 17th, 1952 to Martha (Marshall) and Henry Maxwell in Libertyville, Illinois.
The family moved to Tempe, AZ where he graduated high school; and then attended Mesa Community College.
Shortly after, he married his high school sweetheart Mona Inman in May 1973. The couple moved to Casper in 1975 where they raised their three children.
Randy was employed with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for over 28 years. He was a
member of the National Association of Letter Carriers throughout his career. Randy served as the local Vice President
for 2 years. He then took over Steward serving for over 16 years until his death.
Randy also served as the State President for NALC 4 terms from 1995- 2003. Casper Branch 1681 was
renamed the Randy Maxwell Branch 1681 of the National Association of Letter Carriers. The postal
service honored Randy for his unequalled dedication and exemplary years of service by renaming the circle
drive in front of the post office "Maxwell Circle" in April of 2005. Randy, also called Rando by friends,
will be remembered for his honesty, integrity and dedication. As well, Randy was honored this year by being
selected as MDA's Personal Achievement Award Winner for the state of
Wyoming during the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon.
His interests and activities included golfing, hunting, spending time with family and friends,
and volunteering his time at Highland Park Community Church, where he was an active and faithful member.
Survivors include his wife Mona, son Bryan and his wife Monaca and their two sons Christian Randall
and Joshua Cole of Indianapolis, IN; son Matt of Casper; daughter Megan of Casper; brother Charles Maxwell
and his wife Lyn of Mesa, AZ; a nephew Jeff Maxwell of Peoria, IL; and a niece Kelly McKnight of Belgium.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John, and his sister Donna.

or the Muscular Dystrophy Association, ALS Division. Randy and Mona were very appreciative to
Hospice for their kind and caring staff who made his final days more comfortable.
The family would also like to thank their church family and their postal family for
their out pouring of love and support. Randy was truly blessed to have such faithful and dedicated friends.
