January 11, 1929 — July 24, 2013

Ramona White, 84, of Casper, passed away July 24, 2013. Mona was born January 11, 1929 in Marble Hill, Georgia. She attended school in Tate, GA and graduated in 1945. She went on to college for a couple of years. After which enrolled in the US Navy from 1950 to 1954. She enjoyed her time stationed in Hawaii where she played basketball with the Navy Sports Program. Mona worked for RJR Tobacco for a period of time then went on to work in the oil & gas industry. Her years before retirement were spent as the Administrative Assistant for Senator Malcolm Wallop. She truly treasured the times she spent working with the young adults as they pursued their interest in representing Wyoming at the different military academies throughout the nation. Mona then retired when the senator did in 1988. After retirement she enjoyed her winter home in El Mirage, AZ where she became very active in the Ladies Golf Association. Mona enjoyed playing golf, watching the Denver Broncos and was an avid reader. She loved gardening, her beloved cats and most of all her family and close friends. She will always be fondly remembered for her one liner responses in the Casper Star Tribune, letters to the editor. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Gladys and Carl; sister, Yvie (Jonsey) Jones; and nephew, Greg Jones. Mona is survived by her best friend, Sherry Fickes; and numerous close friends and family. A celebration of her life will be held August 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM, at 2201 Dover Avenue, Casper, Wyoming.
