PV2 Ian Corrigan left this world on January 20, 2013. He was 18 years old.
Ian was born in Casper on February 26, 1994. An avid outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing from an early age as well as recreational and competitive shooting. He also enjoyed traveling with family to places like Florida, Texas, California, Maryland, and Hawaii.
Ian graduated from Natrona County High School in 2012, and left for Army Basic Training at Fort Benning, GA soon after, whereupon he received Top Shot honors within his unit. After graduation from Basic Training, he reported to Fort Stewart, GA and was training as a heavy gunner within the 3rd Infantry Division.
He leaves behind his Mother and Father, Carrie and Justin Maki; Grandparents, Mike and Joann Corrigan, Cathy and Dave Phillips, and Bill and Diane Maki; Aunts and Uncles, Devin and Mary Corrigan, Sean and Jamie Corrigan, Jimmy and Kodi Swanson; and one cousin, Mackenzie.
A quiet and introspective young man who could be counted on for his honesty and respectfulness, Ian will always be loved and will forever be missed by his family and friends.
