CASPER -- Services for Priscilla Patti (Page) Bland, 67, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at Newcomer Family Funeral Home with Dr. Bryant Badger from First Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in Wyoming Memorial Gardens in Casper.
She died Aug. 29, 2007, at Wyoming Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 9, 1939, in Fitchburg, Mass., the daughter of Walter Everett Page and Charlotte Evelyn Brunt
She met her first husband, Ron Larson, and they later divorced.
She was raised in Massachusetts and graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1957. She attended Bay State Academy in Boston. She worked for many years at Roux Travel Agency in Fitchburg.
She moved to Portland, Ore., worked as a secretary for Continental Airlines and was crowned Miss Transportation in 1968.
After moving to Texas, she worked in sales for Riggsbee Hardware and Industrial Supply in Houston. She also volunteered for 20 years as a paramedic for the Clear Lake Texas Emergency Medical Corps.
She moved to Casper in 1988 and worked for United Blood Services as a phlebotomist and Wyoming Stationary in sales. She attended First Christian Church.
She loved watching football and was an avid fan of the Houston Oilers and the Denver Broncos. She enjoyed gardening and loved to travel and tour on her motorcycle with her husband and their friends. She was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association of Wyoming and Trike Riders International.
On Feb. 2, 2000, her sister-in-law Patricia Bland gave her the precious gift of a kidney. This gift of life allowed her the opportunity to spend her remaining years sharing the joys of her family and friends and playing with her three Shih Tzus that she adored.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 17 years, Ronald E. Bland; one daughter, Rhonda E. Tapply and her husband of Merrimack, N.H.; two stepdaughters, Shauna P. Scott and her husband of Dover, Del., and Veronica E. Bland of Long Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren and one great-grandson; four brothers, Walter Everett Page, Jr. of Ashburnham, Mass., Calvin A. Page of South Wellfleet, Mass., Raymond S. Page of East Wenatchee, Wash., and Robert D. Page of Casper; a large family of in-laws and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Emilie Larsen, who died in 1964.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Kidney Foundation, c/o The Kidney Center, 1141 Wilkins Circle, Casper, 82601.
Newcomer Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
