Phyllis E. Schulz, age 70, of Casper, passed away November 17, 2017 at Central Wyoming Hospice surrounded by her family and friends. Phyllis was born June 3, 1947 in Denver, Colorado to Nicholas and Marcella (Stenoish) Gangl. Phyllis graduated from Natrona County High School. In September of 1967, she married Boardman "Boardy" Schulz in Casper, Wyoming. She obtained her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Nursing at University of Wyoming. She was instrumental at starting the Kids Safe Day at Wyoming Medical Center. She was a Licensed Registered Nurse for 35 years before retiring. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and traveling. She had a great love for her dogs.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Boardy Schulz, sons, Steve (Valerie) Schulz, Dave (Kim) Schulz, and Greg (Anett) Schulz, sisters, Cindy and Debbie, brothers, Howard, Brian, and Gary, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, December 2, 2017 at Newcomer Casper Chapel with a reception to follow at First Christian Church, 520 CY Avenue Casper, WY 82601.
Memorial contributions may be made to Casper Humane Society, Casper College Foundation in Phyllis' name, Central Wyoming Hospice, or a charity of the donor's choice in Phyllis's memory.
