CASPER -- At his request, there will be no services for Phillip Anthony Vick, 67, who died April 22, 2007, at Wyoming Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 17, 1940, in Casper, the son of John Jesse Vick and Gwendolyn Agnes Doggett.
He was raised in Casper, graduating from NCHS 1958. He continued his education at Casper College, receiving an associate's degree.
He served in the Army during the Korean War (1959-1961).
He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad and then worked for the City of Casper Fire Department. He retired from the fire dept as captain after more than 20 years.
His hobbies included fishing, camping, traveling and all outdoor activities.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren, Stephanie, Melissa and Vincent.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Rita Vick of Casper; a daughter, Tracy Silva of Smartville, Calif., and a brother, John "Jack" Vick of Casper.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Newcomer Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
