Pearl Atha Williams, 89, of Casper, passed away March 21, 2009 at The Central Wyoming Hospice Home.
She was born June 14, 1919 in Tecumseh, the daughter of F.A. and Mary Weaver Strawn. She was united in marriage to Wilbur Williams June 17, 1937 in Shawnee, OK and he preceded her in death Jan. 6, 1992. Mrs. Williams was employed as a dispatcher for Morgan Driveaway until her retirement in 1978. She was an avid CBer and her handle was the "dispatcher".
Survivors include a son, W.C. Williams of Chewelah, WA, a daughter, Theresa Combs and her husband David of Casper and a daughter-in-law, Jo Williams of Mills. There are eight grandchildren, Shonna Robinson, Kevin Williams, Aaron Loman, Michelle Williams, Brittney Weckwerth, Wayne Weckwerth, Tyler Combs and Christopher Combs and 7 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Darryl and numerous sisters and brothers.
Funeral services will be Wed. March 25, 2009, 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home with Chaplain Ellis Kaster officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Newcomer Funeral Home Tuesday from 6 to 7 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice.Arrangements are under the direction of Newcomer Funeral Home.
