Pearl Anna Burtch

March 4, 1929 — June 4, 2024

Pearl Anna Burtch went home to be with the Lord on June 4, 2024 at age 95. She was born in Custer, South Dakota on March 4, 1929, to her parents, Merlin and Alta (Bourne) Turner.

The family moved to Wyoming in 1935, where she has resided for most of her life.

She married Dick Manning and to that union was their 2 sons, Tom, Mike, and one daughter, Sandra. She later married Stanley Burtch, they have one daughter, Kay Burtch.

Pearl had a home daycare for many years until she began working in the food industry. One of her favorites were baking fresh pies and deserts in the early morning hours at The Wyoming Coffee Company. Her place of worship was The Christ United Methodist Church. She was a member of The Eagles and a lifetime member of the VFW. In her younger years, her and Stanley at the country dances for square dancing. She was an avid collector of bells and ornate glass shoes, among many antiques. Some of her dearest friends, where she enjoyed her weekly meetings, were at the Wyoming Chapter of Tops #162 for over 30 years.

Pearl was an avid crocheter, and enjoyed solving crossword puzzle and loved getting family together for picnics. She also enjoyed visiting the Burtch Ranch where she would ride horses.

Pearl always had a smile or a “Giggle” for everyone. She always believed laughter was the best medicine.

She is preceded in Death by her husband, Stanley, her parents, her son, Mike and his wife, Jackie, son-in-laws, Larry Norton and Charles Pope, one sister, Ruby Davis, and 3 brothers, Merle, Lawrence, and Bill, and grandson, Richard “Louie” Cardenas.

Pearl will be missed by her son, Tom and his wife, Joann, daughters, Kay and Sandra, 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren - some she never got to know but her family will keep her memories alive for them.

To her many relative and friends, you brought Joy and Love that she cherished.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Wyoming Memorial Gardens.
