Pauline Haas, 87, of Saratoga, died October 26, 2008, in Casper, Wyoming. She was born December 10, 1920, in Gillette, Wyoming, to John and Myrtle (Kirkbride) Cook. On March 22, 1941, she married Allan Haas in Hardin, Montana. He passed away on January 12, 1983.
Pauline was born on the family homestead near Gillette, WY, where she grew up and later taught in a 1-room school house until her marriage to Allan Haas in 1941. Pauline and Allan moved to Sinclair, WY later that year where she worked at the Sinclair Refinery during WWII. Later Pauline became treasurer for the Parco Federal Credit Union in Sinclair, WY until her retirement in 1983. She moved from Sinclair to Saratoga, WY in 2000 to be closer to her family. She was a lifetime member of Eastern Star and the Presbyterian Church.
Pauline is survived by two sons, Randal (wife Linda) Haas of Chino Hills, CA and Wes (wife Gen) Haas of Saratoga, WY; daughter Marcie (husband Jeff) Clegg of Saratoga, WY. Also surviving are 6 granddaughters, 3 great grandsons, 1 great granddaughter and another great grandchild on the way.
Memorial services are planned to be held in Saratoga, Wyoming on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Saratoga Presbyterian Church.
