Paula was born in El Mirage, Arizona to parents Johnny Paul Pruett and Mary Magdeline Brummett June 30, 1965. She spent most of her childhood and adult life in Arizona and some of her childhood in Oregon, where her family lived and worked on agricultural farms.

Paula had many occupations throughout her life that were centered around caring for others. She ended her career working as a MED TECH/Caregiver for a memory care unit at Beattitudes in Phoenix, Arizona before her illness forced her to quit working. Paula touched the lives of so many people and she cared for them with kindness, patience, love and empathy. She treated her patients like her own family.

Paula is deeply missed and survived by her four children, Karen (Brian) Boussu, John Hughes, Travis (Noel Borkowski) Hughes, and Reba (Roderic Hall) Hughes; Her pride and joy were her six grandchildren, Landen Boussu, Destin Boussu, Auron Hall, Arsen Hall, Melody Hughes and John Isaac Hughes. The love that she shared with her grandchildren will forever be imprinted on their hearts. Paula will be remembered for her creativity and passions. She was an especially talented artist that really shined in desert landscape drawings. She also loved to play the computer game World of Warcraft where she made many life-long friends. Paula loved to cook big, beautiful meals and listen to music and sing. She was especially fond of older country music that her and her mother would sing together. Most of all Paula enjoyed time with her family. She always made sure that everyone of her family members felt loved and accepted and her comforting advice will be greatly missed.

Paula will be remembered for many things, but mostly for her kind and caring soul. The love that she shared will be continued through all that knew her.

She will be laid to rest with her late sister, Carrie Pruett on March 19, 2022 in Wittmann, Arizona and a Celebration of Life will be held soon after.
