The Mystic Marvel of Molten Metal
If you can jump across it, I can tack it
If you can step across it, I can weld it
I am the Mystic Marvel of Molten Metal
I can weld the crack of dawn
I can mend a broken heart
I can weld the crack of your ass if you can stand the heat
I am the Mystic Marvel of Molten Metal

The Mystic Marvel of Molten Metal, Patrick Hardee took his final breath on July 4th, 2020 while the fire works lit up the sky, going out with a bang. Patrick came into this world kicking and screaming on November 19th, 1949. He lived his life to the fullest and was like a cat with nine lives, surviving things that should have killed him. He was a man's man, full of grit and truly without fear. He never backed down from a fight whether it was figurative or literal.

Patrick was highly intelligent and had an associate degree in Civil Engineering. He was a hell of a welder and was the foreman welder at Texas Tank and Casper Concrete. In later years at Casper Concrete known as JTL he was foreman for the dredge in Glenrock. Patrick was a journeyman Iron Worker and was even a member of Casper's Local Union 454. He worked in Wheatland at the Power Plant and even did iron work in Australia. Some of his work is still around Casper, he ran the tubing system for Interstate Bank's drive-up and the system for Casper Concrete's scale house. Before retirement he was an operating engineer and ran cranes all over Florida.

When he wasn't at work his hobbies included scuba diving, boating, knee boarding, waterskiing, camping, cross country skiing, shooting, reloading, playing cards, racing dune buggies, riding motorcycles, teaching hunter's safety classes, building things, reading, sewing and cooking. His dad always said if you can read it you can do it. Patrick took that to heart and loved reading and doing many things. Patrick was hardly ever idle even as he got older and his body started to protest the adventures, he did smaller projects that kept him busy.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Hardee of Lakeland Florida, his son Steven Hardee (Rebekah) of Orcas Island Washington, his daughter Cortnie Colebert (Tim) of Bar Nunn Wyoming, his "most favorite bestest grandson Timmy" of Bar Nunn Wyoming, his sister Sonja Baxter of Casper Wyoming, and brother Michael Hardee of Everett Washington.

Patrick was big hearted, hard-headed, and one hell of an amazing man, father, grandpa, husband, brother, son and friend. The world is a little dimmer without him in it.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Casper Wyoming.
