Patricia Lee Jugler

February 29, 1940 — August 21, 2022

Patricia (Patty) Lee Jugler, 82, passed away at home on Monday, August 22, 2022 with her family by her side.

She was born February 29, 1940 in Wichita, KS to Vernon and Bernadine Peterson. They lived for a short time in Casper, WY. After the death of her father in 1944, she moved with her mother and brother to California. Bernadine remarried to Delmar Alter, at which time they moved to a ranch north of Lusk. This is where Patty grew up. She was the oldest of five children; they would all say that she took care of them throughout their lives, making sure as they all got older that they stayed connected and got together when they could.

She graduated in 1959 from Niobrara County High School and attended college in Chadron, NE. Patty was a switchboard operator for Mountain Bell Telephone in Lusk, then later in Casper.

On November 20, 1962, she married George W. Jugler. They relocated to Casper in 1973 with their two children. A few years later, she left the phone company to stay home and raise her kids.

She and George loved to snowbird in Florida. After many years of traveling back and forth, they decided to move from the family home in Casper and made Bradenton, FL their home in 2003. After George's death, she stayed for a while and then decided she wanted to be close to her family again, so she returned to Casper in 2010. She missed Florida, especially in the winter.

Patty had many hobbies. She loved horses, looking for artifacts on the Wyoming prairies, collecting sharks teeth on the beaches in Florida, and camping. She loved to read and play cards, and she was a wonderful artist. She loved spending time with her grandkids and recently, great-grandkids.

She was baptized as Jehovah's Witness in July of 1985 and was an active member until her death.

Patty is survived by her children, Rod (Linda) Jugler and Deana (Damon) Laird of Casper; four grandchildren: Sarah Blair, Stephanie Jugler, Uriah Rohrer, and Brianna Rohrer; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Dwayne Peterson of Casper; her sisters, Aleta Scott of Rapid City, SD and Bette Alter of Chico, CA; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Peterson and Bernadine and Delmar Alter; husband of 43 years, George W. Jugler; sister, Lindee Coleen Palmer; and granddaughter, Aurora Rohrer.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Newcomer Funeral Services in Casper. There will be no services at this time; however, there will be a family gathering at 12103 El Rio Road in Casper on October 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm.

Donations to Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions, 319 South Wilson, Casper, WY 82601 or an organization of your choice would be appreciated.
