Orville C. Tucker

Orville C. Tucker passed away at home surrounded by family on July 11th 2020.

Orville was born on November 16, 1926 in Ionia Kansas to Lillie Montgomery Tucker and Allie Tucker.

He graduated from Ionia Rural High School in 1944 and joined the US Army in 1945 where he was a guard at the War Crimes in Nuremberg, Germany, later was in the Colorado National Guard. After the war he attended the Kansas City School of Watchmaking and graduated in 1950. He worked at a variety of Jewelry Stores and moved to Denver to be closer to his brother Rolla. He started working for Hathaway Instruments as a technician, then Continental Airlines and Frontier Airlines for 18 years as an Instrument Mechanic retiring in 1985.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and International Association of Machinist.

He enjoyed spending time with his brother Rolla's family especially skiing and being at the family cabin with his nephew and brother. He met the love of his life while golfing in Denver and married Dorothy Davis Blackman on February 27th, 1979.

After retiring they lived in Lake Montezuma, Arizona, Parachute, Colorado, and finally in Mesquite. Nevada enjoying golfing together. Dorothy died on December 29th, 2009. Orville moved to Casper, Wyoming in March 2018 to be closer to family.
He is survived by one brother Kenneth Tucker of Oregon, stepdaughter Vicki Klein (Ken) of Scottsbluff, NE, stepson Edwin Blackman of Sheridan, WY, daughter in law Marge Christiansen of Casper, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by wife, his parents, siblings Rolla Tucker, Donald Tucker, Raymond Tucker and Murial Tucker Bartley.

When he married Dorothy he inherited a large family that gave him great joy through the years. Since March he has lived with Marge Christiansen's family that cared for him in the final months of his life.
