Family and friends are mourning the loss of Oliver S. O'Dell, who died
unexpectedly June 23 at his home in Mills. He was the loving husband of Doris Jean O'Dell. They moved to Arminto in 1970, and moved to Mills in 2007. Oliver was an avid hunter and fisherman, whose willingness to help others and lively humor will be sorely missed.
Oliver was born July 13, 1930 in Bridgeport, Michigan. He attended schools there, and served four years with the U.S. Army occupation forces in Germany after World War II. He was a Natrona County School District employee for 24 years. He attended Our Saviour Lutheran Church, and was a member of the Elks Club.
Survivors include wife Doris Jean, three stepsons, Mark, Steven and
Jeffery Schlicker of Michigan, sister Arvilla Sargent of California, and brother Arthur O'Dell of Michigan.
Memorial donations may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions. At his request, there will be no memorial services. There may be a celebration of his life at a later date.
