After retiring, she and Eddie were snowbirds in Borrego Springs, California and later moved to Yuma, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998 and returned to live in Casper in 2000. She was also preceded in death by her 12 siblings.

She is survived by her children Eddie (Vivian), John (Judy), Connie Smith (Charlie), five grandchildren, Ann Taddeo (Anthony), Bryan Gardner (Armando), Kelly Woody (Chad), Heather Smith-Spears (Edmond), Tiffany Kellick (Bryan) and 15 great-grandchildren, Patrick, Paul, Cheyenne, Jessica, Trevon, D'Anthony, E.J., Jayce, Katelyn, Emya, Zakira, McKena, Levi, Maeci, and Blake as well as several nieces and nephews.

Her service will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. Private grave site services will be held later at Oregon Trail Veteran's Cemetery in Evansville, WY.
