Norris Leo Jensen was born October 20, 1928 at Tagus, North Dakota were he was raised on the farm to Franklin L. and Ada Leone Reed Jensen and passed away November 30, 2010 at his home in Casper Wyoming at the age of 82 years after a long battle with medical complications.
He attended Minot State University where he obtained his B.S. In Commercial Physical Education. He then attended the University of North Dakota where he obtained his Masters in Business Education. He had 72 hours towards his Doctoral Degree in Education Administration.
He was a educator form 1953-1973. He was a Principal at Dean Morgan Junior High from 1973 to 1983 where he retired.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1957 and the U.S. Army from 1957-1968. He was activated in 1961 (Berlin Crisis) and served as Atomic Demolition officer and received the Army Commendation Medal. He served as a company commander and on staff in the Army Corps of Engineers. Graduate of the Officer Engineer Career Course in 1966 (Viet Nam) with Top Secret Clearance.
He served in the community with the Elks, American Legion were he was a member for 63 years, the V.F.W., Sheriff Department Community Emergency Response Team, Red Cross Board of Directors and National Emergency Team. He loved Dancing, Pool and Cards.
His survivors include son's James Jensen, Robert Jensen, and David Jensen. Daughter Connie Miller. 4 Grandchildren, Maurica, Bethany, Moriah, Dale, and fiancé Lucille Schaffer and Cat Boots.
We love you Dad. You will be greatly missed. Thank you fro raising us to be strong in who we are.
Memorial services will be 9:00 AM, Monday, December 6th at Newcomer Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Oregon Trails State Veterans Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Red Cross or Casper Metro Animal Control.
