Norman Wolfe was born in Scotland SD November 30 1919. Son of Benjamen and Mazzie Wolfe. He had 6 brothers William, Lester, Benjamin, Gene, Donny, and Herbie who died at the age of 8 from appendicitis and 2 sisters Blanch and Lorraine.
Norman married Peggy Lou McGee March 6th 1947 and had 3 boys Gary, Mark, and David Wolfe. He then went on to have 8 grand children (5 girls - Leighann Brite, Markie Ponce, Michelle, Rachel, and Renee Wolfe and 3 boys- Joshua, Brian, and Brandon Wolfe) followed by 6 great grandchildren (3 girls- Kyra Lewallen, Sierra Ponce, and Emerson Wolfe and 3 boys- Jarrin Lewallen, Benjamin and Bailey Wolfe).
Norman liked to mention that he grew up with the devils tower in his back yard. He enjoyed discussing his days of breaking horses and causing mischief in their one room school house in his younger years. Norman moved to Wyoming when he was 8 years old due to his susceptibility to pneumonia. Norman's brothers went off to war and Norman was left home as military would not accept him due to his fast heart rate.
Nothing meant more to Norman than family and Devils Tower country. Throughout his life he enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, family and the great outdoors. Norman was a hard worker and spent his days supporting his family as a welder at Pepper Tank, Watco, and Pugit Sound Navel Ship Yard.
Norman was the last of the original Wolfe family and the most positive and sweet man anyone had ever met. He made everyone smile when he walked into the room. Our hearts will never be the same.
I MADE IT HOME....
A Note from Norman
I just wanted to let you know that I made it home.
Everything is so pretty here, so white, so fresh, so new.
I wish that you could close your eyes so you could see it too.
Please try not to be sad for me. Try to understand.
God is taking care of me.... I'm in the shelter of his hands.
Here there is no sadness, no sorrow, and no pain.
Here there is no crying and I will never hurt again.
Here it is so peaceful, When all the angels sing.
I really have to go for now... I've just got to try my wings.
PS... I'll be the first face you see when you get here!
