Norma Lea Bay
There will be a celebration of life at a later date for Norma Lea Bay, 78, of Casper. She died February 23, 2008 at Wyoming Medical Center. She was born July 29, 1929, and raised in the Fort Laramie area to a ranching and farming family, George and Ruby (Huffman) Duncan graduating from Fort Laramie High School in 1947. She married Judson "Gene" Bay on December 7, 1948 in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. They lived in Casper since 1964. Norma was a homemaker, mother, & wife and later worked in the copy center at Casper College retiring in 1986. She was an avid Wyoming Cowboy sports fan and enjoyed traveling in and out of state to attend UW football and basketball games. She loved spending time with her family at their mountain cabin near Laramie Peak. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, sewing, fishing, lunches with close friends, and trips to Deadwood & Wendover. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and together visited 45 different states, Canada & Mexico. She will be truly missed by all her friends, family and many others whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband Judson "Gene" Bay, of Casper, mother, Ruby Huffman Duncan, and sister Joyce Nolde both of Lander, son Dennis Bay and wife Terry of Casper, son Kevin Bay of Plainfield, Illinois, grandson Jason Bay, and wife, great-granddaughter of Savannah Bay, both of Fort Collins, Co, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and sister Peggy McIntosh.
