Neta Mae Noel, 79, of Casper, passed away May 18, 2010 at the Central Wyoming Hospice Home.
She was born Aug. 14, 1930 in Waldo, Kansas, the daughter of Howard and Blanche Hubbard Kornmeyer.
Neta was united in marriage to Joseph Nicholas Noel Sr. on Oct. 23, 1952 in Logan, Kansas. She was employed by the Russell, Kansas Telephone Company in the early 1950s. From 1964 to 1968, she and her husband owned and operated the Logan Auto Company in Logan, Kansas. Then the family moved to Douglas Wyoming. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Her hobbies included fishing, sewing and crafts. Her biggest joys were spending time with her children and a yearly gambling trip.
Survivors include four children, Gail (Neal) Barnes of Norman, OK, Diana (Terry) Worman of Lyman, WY, John (Cathy) Noel of Cheyenne, WY and Cindy (Randy) Carnahan of Casper, WY, a brother, Myron Kornmeyer of Lucas, KS, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Nicholas Noel Sr., a son Joseph Nicholas Noel Jr., a brother, Milton and her parents.
At her request cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place in Logan, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Wyoming Hospice Home. Arrangements under the direction of the Newcomer Funeral Home.
