Cremation has taken place, and at Nancy's request there will be no services.
Nancy was born on July 18, 1937 to Iris and Ocie Brandon, who both preceded her in death. She was the last surviving child of Iris and Ocie, being preceded in death by her sister Loyce D. Peek, and brothers J.L. Brandon, Austin Vernell (Toad) Brandon, and Sammy Darrel Brandon.
Nancy lived most of her adult life in Glenrock where she owned and operated Nancy's Beauty Shop. After closing her shop she went on to work as a hairdresser in other shops around Glenrock. She later worked as an operator at Dave Johnston Power Plant. She loved her time there, as well as "the kids" she worked with. She was an avid pool player, participating in Valley League play for many years, as well as playing on local dart leagues. Before her health slowed her down she enjoyed rock hunting and making jewelry from her finds. She loved camping, hunting, and fishing, and was a dang good waterskier.
As a young woman she met and married Frank Albert (Buster) Newman. Her new husband came with 2 young daughters, Rita Kay (Weliever), and Sherry Lynn (Perry)who Nancy raised and loved as her own. Nancy and Buster had 3 children together. Brenda Jo (Beaugureau), Patrick Brian, and Jessica Lea (Dudley).
After Buster's tragic death Nancy met and married W.A. (Dub) Glass. Dub preceded her in death in 1994.
In addition to her parents, her siblings and her husbands, she was preceded in death by her only son, Patrick, and 2 grandsons, Joshua Lea Flynn, and Baby Brian Chad Butcher.
She is survived by her daughters, Rita, Sherry, Brenda and Jessica. Her niece Nell Keenan, who she loved as a sister. Numerous nieces and nephews, a whole passel of grandchildren who she loved with all her heart, and several great-grands.
Rest easy Nasty Nancy, you will be so missed.
