CASPER -- A memorial service for Alice "Nancy" Doyle, 59, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007, at First Christian Church, 520 CY Ave., with Dr. Bryant Badger and Rev. Paul Hallock officiating. A private family inurnment will take place Friday at Highland Cemetery.

She died March 18, 2007, at her home after a valiant nine-month battle with cancer. Her loving family and friends surrounded her.

She was born March 26, 1947, in Casper, to Mary Louise (Fisher) Day and William T. Day. She was raised and educated in Casper and was a 1965 graduate of Natrona County High School.

She met her husband-to-be in 1964 and they were married in 1967 after Jim Doyle returned from Vietnam. He is now postmaster at Alcova.

She was active as a child in 4-H and Brownies. In high school, she was a member of the Glee Club. As an adult, she was an avid artist, enjoying charcoal drawings and paintings, which she studied at Casper College.

She was past president of the Fine Arts Club, 1992-94.

She was a life member of First Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school, was a Diaconate and a greeter.

She was property manager at Casper Rental Agency and d-Elia Enterprises for 15 years. Before that, she was the most loving and caring stay-at-home mom, daughter, sister and wife.

Along with her friends and family, she enjoyed their family cabin, "Alpine," on the face of Casper Mountain. She helped her family built it in 1952.

Survivors include her husband of Casper; two daughters, Kim Doyle of Casper and Amy Carlson, her husband their son of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her mother of Casper and her best friend and sister, Jackie Lynn Tighe of Casper; niece and nephew; aunt, Helen Schmill of Casper; stepfather, Robert R. Colley and his wife, Patricia McEaney-Colley of Casper; stepmother, Sue Doyle of Casper and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father and maternal grandparents.
