A Celebration of Life for Nadine Julia Garriott will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 11:30am at the Hall of Champion Building at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds. A sandwich lunch will be provided. Please bring your favorite side dishes and your favorite memories to tell.
Nadine Julia Garriott 68 went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, March 21 at Central Wyoming Hospice after a short courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born on January 13, 1945 in Casper, Wyoming.
Nadine's goal in life was to be a secretary and she fulfilled this dream. At the time of her death she was employed by Hilston Appraisals where they treated her as family. She was a real estate appraisal secretary for 20+ years.
She is survived by one son, Wesley L Garriott, Jr. (Alaura) of Casper; two daughters: Timmie Fox (Arlin Fischer) of Casper and Janet Garriott (Kim Green) of Soldotna Alaska; grandchildren: Toni Mock (Steven Hartgrove) of Anchorage Alaska, Brett Maybury and Zac Garriott of Soldotna Alaska, Anita Lieurance of Cheyenne; one great-grandchild: Ian Hartgrove of Anchorage Alaska; Alaura's children: Dennis, Cody, Daniel, Amanda and Jesilea; sister: Nancy Mills (Tom) of Casper; brothers: Terry Jensen (Janet) of Casper and Silas Eugene "Gene" Jensen (Gerry) of Richland Washington and numerous nieces and nephews. We can't forget about her Schnauzer companion, Toby. Several of her children's friends and friend's children considered her to be their mom and grandma because they could always talk to her and never be judged.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years; Wesley L. Garriott, Sr., Her parents Leo Walter and Edna Florence Jensen and a sister Evelyn Reyes.
Nadine was a fighter and had beat breast cancer in 2000 and was determined to beat the lung cancer but there were too many unexpected complications for her to go on.
