Myrtle Elvina Kihle of Evansville, WY, peacefully passed away on August 18, 2013. She was born to Ella and Bernhard Simonson on March 8, 1929 in Columbus, North Dakota. On February 20, 1949, she married Donald O. Kihle in Columbus, North Dakota.
They had three children, Deanna Sadler (Kevin), Candace Rademaker (Dave), and Kim Kihle (Susan). From 1949 to 1962 they lived in Conrad and Havre, MT and then relocated to Evansville, WY. Myrtle worked a short time in the school system, at Wyoming Medical Center in various departments, and the Clerk of District Court until her retirement in 1991.
Myrtle was member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church teaching Sunday School and was active in the Evansville Auxiliary Fire Department. Myrtle was an endless caregiver, always having room in her heart for anyone in need whether it was family or friends.
Besides her husband and children, she is survived by eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, three sisters, and two brothers.
She was preceeded in death by one son, her parents, six brothers and three sisters.
A viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home. Services will be held at
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 10:00 am followed by graveside service at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville. A reception will be held following the services at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
