She died April 11, 2008 at Mountain View Manor, Good Samaritan Center in Eureka, Mont.
She was born April 15,1916, in Mill Creek, Okla.
She married Lloyd Hanley in 1948, moving to Casper that same year.
She had a sweet and loving way about her. She was patient, caring, kind and funny.
Teaching for over 20 years in Casper, she had a love for all children and especially enjoyed increasing the English and reading skills of her young students. She took special care of each one.
Her membership in the Raggedy Ann Extension Club was very meaningful to her.
Her involvement with First United Methodist Church, including her church circle, was a very important part of her church life. Although they were spread out all over the world, her family meant the most to her.
She would visit them and would always welcome their visits.
Her trip to Russia with her son and his wife, when she was 81, was a highlight.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hanley and by her three children, daughter, Kay Upton in 1976; daughter Merilyn Ullom in 2001; and son Glen Hanley in 2007.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Rhonda Hanley, sons-in-law, Jack Ullom and Bob Upton, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mountain View Manor, 10 Mountain View Dr., Eureka MT 59917, a Lutheran church run nursing home, to purchase a new van.
