Morris Booth Sr., 85, of Casper passed away, Friday June 20, 2014 at Central Wyoming Hospice surrounded by his family and friends .
He was born in 1928 in Warfield, KY to George and Ada (Perry) Booth. Morris came to Casper in 1947. He married Ruth Madrigal February 5, 1950. He has been a member of the Elks since 1957. He was a well regarded chef at the historic Casper Hotels; The Gladstone, The Henning and The Townsend. After he retired, he was active in the community through participation in Wyoming Health Fairs.
He is preceded in death by his wife, grandson and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include his sister, Katie Booth Whisenant; two sons, Morris (Dorothy) Booth Jr., Rick Booth; Daughter-in-law, Darla Booth; Granddaughter, Lisa (Matt) Greco; two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Nora.
A visitation service will be held on Tuesday June 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday June 25, at 1:00pm at Highland Cemetery.
Following the service,family and friends are invited to share memories of Morris Sr. at a reception that will be held at Wyoming Health Fairs, 115 South Elm Street.
