Milton A. "Bud" Esterline was born in St. Louis, MO on November 21, 1920 to Lester Milton Esterline and Mildred Bohumila (Krebs) Esterline. He passed away on Sunday May 11, 2014. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday May 17, 2014. He graduated from NCHS in 1938. He married Erma Jeannette Rosberg in Salina, KS on June 6, 1943 and they were married for sixty three years. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1947, was stationed at Rattlesden, England with the 447th Bomb Group, 710th Squadron as a B-17 Pilot. During their tenth mission he and his crew were shot down, captured and held for one year and eleven days as POW's in Germany. He attended Casper College and went on to graduate from University of Wyoming in 1950 with a BS in Geology.
He is survived by sons, Gregory L. and Alan R., Daughter-in-Law Lisa M. (Tinker), niece Brenda (Smith) Zaborski of Denver, CO and nephew Mike Smith of Shepherd, MT. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Dorothy L. Smith, his wife, Erma J. (Rosberg); and son, Richard A. Esterline. Memorial contributions may be made to the Anglican Church of Resurrection.
