Mildred Ellen Wise

Mildred Ellen Wise of Casper, Wyoming, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully on February 11, 2024 at Lifecare Center of Casper at the age of 87.

She was born in Ames, Oklahoma on January 13, 1937 to Alfred "Virgil" Brittain and Ruth Marie Long. Her family moved to Cody (Heart Mountain - homestead), Wyoming in 1948 where she grew up on their farm. She graduated from Cody High School in 1954. She received her Associates Degree in cosmetology. She moved to Casper, Wyoming in 1967 with her two young children. She worked for Tripeny Motors in 1968 and she was the first woman car salesperson in the state of Wyoming. She won several top sales awards and sold 20 cars in a single month. She had a long career as a cosmetologist of 50 years.

She is survived by her two children Kelley Drelicharz (Bill), Kurt Wise (Kristy Jackson); granddaughter Sheila Drelicharz (Chris Atencio); great-grandson Nicholas "Boomer" Drelicharz; brothers Kenneth Brittain, Jimmie Brittain (Debra), Joe Whiting (Becky); sister Debbie Lee (Tom); several nieces, nephews, and cousins that will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Carla Ring, partner Gene Fenske, sister-in-law Kay Brittain, and lifelong friend Joy Moore.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Newcomer Casper Chapel, 710 East Second Street, Casper, Wyoming 82601.
