Melinda Jean O'Donnell, 65, of Casper, Wyoming, died September 21, 2017. She was born on February 19, 1952 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to John and Elizabeth O'Donnell and later moved with her family to Rapid City, South Dakota. Melinda earned a degree in art and journalism from Black Hills State College and moved to Casper in 1980. She was a gifted artist and especially loved beadwork. Melinda was very active in the Celebrate Recovery Community where she facilitated groups, attended retreats, and made many friends. Melinda was blessed with 35 years, 9 months of sobriety and born again.
She is survived by sisters Roxanne (John) Jensen of Arcadia, Florida and Jennifer O'Donnell of Corbett, Oregon, and special friend Vern Miles of Casper, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Melinda's Life will be held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Highland Park Community Church, Casper, Wyoming.
