Mary Victoria Kitchel, 92, passed away Sunday November 24, 2013.
She was born Mary Victoria Keeler, on April 19, 1921 in Ranchester, Wyo. She married the late Albert Kitchel on August 26, 1940. They lived many years in Ponca City, Oklahoma and later moved to Greybull, and Worland Wyoming where they began raising a family. She lived for a time in Louisiana and settled in Roswell New Mexico for 30 years.
Mary retired from the Roswell Medical Center where she was a cook. She took great pride in this along with the many friendships she established there.
Mary began serving the Lord at an early age and was an active member in the Assembly of God churches where ever she went.
Mary is survived by her son Albert Larry Kitchel and his wife Florence Ann Kitchel of Mountain View, Wyoming. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her siblings: brothers Lester Keeler, and Floyd Keeler along with her sisters Darlene Chambers and Marilene Hoffman. Sister- in-law Bell Keeler and brother in-law Frank Hoffman survive them. She is also preceded in death by her daughters Mary Victoria Venjohn and Sherry Adell Baldwin.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Shepherd of the Valley Healthcare Center.
A viewing and memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 7 pm.
