A graveside service for Mary R. (Wempen) Moore, 84, will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton Wyoming, at 11:00 A.M., on Friday, November 18, 2005.
She died November 13, 2005, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper after a long battle with lung disease.
Born March 1, 1921 in Morris Nebraska, she was the 7th child out of the 12 children born to Tolena D. (Shipper) & John F. Wempen Sr. In 1934 the family then moved and built their homestead just east of Pavillion Wyoming.
On February 13,1941 she married Lynn F. Moore. They were married for 36 years before his passing in 1977. They started their first home East of Pavillion, Wyoming, moving several times through out Wyoming and North Dakota following her husbands work in residential construction building, and finally making their home on Riverview Road in 1954. She later moved to the Rendezvous Senior Citizen Apts. where she met and enjoyed several new friends. She spent the last couple of years in Casper where she could be closer to her family.
She enjoyed working in her yard and flower gardens, sewing things for her family, crocheting, fishing and family get togethers on holidays and special occasions.
Survivors include one daughter, Loretta Brewbaker; one son, Richard "Dick" Moore; Granddaughter, La Fawn Hopes and spouse Danny; Chancy Moore and spouse Afton; all of Casper. Grandson, Karash Turpin and spouse Delphine, of Jupiter FL. Four
Great Grandchildren, Craig Hopes; Morgan & Emma Turpin; and Amethyst Moore; and one Great-Great Granddaughter, Harmony Reyes-Hopes. Brother George Wempen; Sister, Louise Richardson, of Riverton.
She was proceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Lynn Moore, brothers John, Fred, Art, Ed, Robert; and sisters, Dorothy, Elfrida, Margaret, and Tracy.
