Mary Joann "Jo" Ellis, 82, of Glenrock (most recently Meadow Wind Assisted Living in Casper) passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Wyoming Medical Center after a short bout with pneumonia. She was born in Casper on December 30, 1930 to Emmett and May Taylor, who owned and operated the OK Tire Shop in Evansville. She was very proud that she attended Willard School and NCHS in Casper.

She worked hard all of her life, raising her daughters, waiting tables, cooking at various ranches, bartending, and was a 4-H leader. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, sewing, leatherwork, and especially playing games and cribbage with her grandchildren. She was very competitive and tried to teach them how to lose gracefully.
